Best time to visit Agra

Close your eyes. Now think of Agra. Immediately, almost like a reflex, the image of Taj Mahal unfurls in your mind’s eye. Pale, pearly and glowing – the greatest ode to love that the world has seen. However, widen your eyes, let them drift past the Taj Mahal. Agra is more than this wonder. Here is Fatehpur Sikri, a beautiful and historical town, that houses the magnificent Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal, the tomb of Salim Chisti. There lies Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Peeping out through the buildings of the city are tranquil Persian gardens.

There’s so much to do here, so much to experience. Don’t narrow your gaze to focus on the Taj Mahal, widen it to include this spectacular city and all it has to offer. Amongst stories of old, spectacular sweets, pilgrimage spots, markets, malls, Agra also offers different seasons to experience. Agra in Monsoon (July to September)

Temperature: The air temperature during the season of monsoon fluctuates between 25°C and 35°C.
