Being blessed with diverse landscapes, terrains and topographical features, Karnataka is truly a year-round destination. You cannot find one particular season where tourism in all of Karnataka is dull. So the best time to visit Karnataka depends on what you intend to see in the state, what you want to experience and where you wish to stay. If you are looking to escape the scorching heat of the summers and head somewhere chilly and frosty, the best place to head to will be Chikkamagaluru and Coorg. If you are planning to visit Gokarna, Murudeshwar or Karwar during this time, be noted that you will have to stay indoors for most of the time because of heavy rainfall. Most of the shacks are closed for the monsoon and there is nothing much to do there unless you want to retreat to yourself and unwind.

Tips
