Thomas Cook revenue up 10% for the first quarter
Thomas Cook (India) Ltd., the leading travel and financial services company, has posted its results for the first quarter of the year 2001. Revenue for the period January ö March 2001 has grown by 10% over the corresponding period last year. Revenue and costs are in line with the Company expectations for the above period and reflect the following:
- Increased investment in marketing Leisure travel and expansion of the distribution network which will yield significant benefits in the peak traveling period between May and July.
- Continued Investment in building businesses in Sri Lanka and Mauritius.
- Successful completion of investments in back office automation through implementation of SAP, Call Centre infrastructure and telecommunication network.
