Encouraged by the success of its Vaishno Devi Package, Thomas Cook (I) Ltd (TCIL), the leading travel and related services company today launched Indian Rail Holiday 2002. This is in conjunction with Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC).
Combining the cost effectiveness of rail transportation with the expertise of its tour operations, Thomas Cook has designed 12 packages to popular holiday destinations like Himachal, Kumaon, Vaishno Devi, Kerala and the veritable Goa. These packages are available ex-Mumbai/Ahmedabad/Delhi.
Holidaymakers can choose from an affordable Rs 4,790 per person for a 5 night/6days package to Goa, Rs 3690/- for a 3night/4day trip to Vaishno Devi, Rs 16,590 for 8 nights in Kumaon, Rs 19,890 for a 12 nights in Kerala to Rs 25,390 for a 14 nights package in Himachal. Cost is inclusive of 3 tier ac train fare, hotel accommodation, meals and sight seeing. An experienced tour manager accompanies the group.

The Ministry of Railways has also nominated Madhavji to be a member on the Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee of the Central Railway.
