Places to visit in Coorg

The Golden Temple of Bylakuppe is another attraction for the travellers to Coorg. This Tibetan settlement of Bylakuppe is actually near Mysore and people traveling across Coorg must not miss out this famous monument, 6 km away from Bylakuppe. The street markets of Coorg are rich with spices, coffee and honey. In each street there is a honey shop.  Not only this, Coorg is also special for its homemade chocolates and varieties of wine. Oranges are also sold in the street markets of Coorg. These oranges are unique because these are easy to get peeled off.

The Iruppu Waterfalls is an important landmark to be visited by travellers of Coorg. The river, Lakshmanatirtha originates in the Brahmagiri Hills in Coorg and it joins the River Kaveri later. This river falls down from a height of 170 feet, Iruppu or Lakshmanatirtha falls is formed thereby.
