Mughal emperor Shah Jahan presented this to his son Prince Dara Shikoh. It is the smallest of the three Mughal gardens in Srinagar and takes inspiration from Persian gardens with a freshwater spring in the center which is a highlight of the gardenas it is known to have high mineral content. The water from the springs flows down the garden and creates several water features, including a waterfall and fountain.
