Morocco Travel Guidelines

  • Travelers who present a valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19, with the use of an approved vaccine, are exempt from quarantine requirements.
  • Guidelines for International Arrivals to India
  • This Standard Operating Procedure shall be valid w.e.f. 01st December (00.01 Hrs IST) till further orders. Based on the risk assessment, this document shall be reviewed from time to time.
  • A.1. Planning for Travel
  • i. All travelers should (i) submit self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal (www.newdelhiairport.in) before the scheduled travel, including last 14 days travel details (ii) upload a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR report or Vaccination Certificate. This RT-PCR test should have been conducted within 72 hrs prior to undertaking the journey. Each passenger shall also submit a declaration with respect to authenticity of the report and will be liable for criminal prosecution, if found otherwise.
  • ii. They should also give an undertaking on the portal or otherwise to Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India, through concerned airlines before they are allowed to undertake the journey that they would abide by the decision of the appropriate government authority to undergo home quarantine/ self-monitoring of their health for 14 days, or as warranted.
  • iii. Arrival in India without negative report shall be allowed only for those traveling to India in the exigency of death in the family.
  • iv. If they wish to seek such exemption under para (iii) above, they shall apply to the online portal (www.newdelhiairport.in) at least 72 hours before boarding. The decision taken by the government as communicated on the online portal will be final.
  • A.2. Before Boarding
  • v. Passengers originating or transiting from at-risk countries shall be informed by the airlines that they will undergo post arrival testing, quarantine if tested negative, stringent isolation protocols if tested positive etc.
  • vi. Do’s and Don'ts shall be provided along with ticket to the travelers by the airlines/agencies concerned.
  • vii. Airlines to allow boarding only those passengers who have filled in the Self Declaration Form on the Air Suvidha portal and uploaded the negative RT-PCR test report or Vaccination Certificate
  • viii. At the time of boarding the flight, only asymptomatic travelers will be allowed to board after thermal screening. viii. All passengers shall be advised to download Aarogya Setu app on their mobile devices.
  • ix. Suitable precautionary measures such as environmental sanitation and disinfection shall be ensured at the airports.
  • x. During boarding all possible measures to ensure physical distancing are to be ensured.
  • A.3. During Travel
  • xi.Suitable announcement about COVID-19 including precautionary measures to be followed shall be made at airports and in flights and during transit.
  • xii. While on board the flight, required precautions such as wearing of masks, environmental hygiene, respiratory hygiene, hand hygiene etc. are to be observed by airline staff, crew and all passengers.
  • A.4. On arrival
  • xiii. De-boarding should be done ensuring physical distancing.
  • xiv. Thermal screening would be carried out in respect of all the passengers by the health officials present at the airport. The self-declaration form filled online shall be shown to the airport health staff.
  • xv. The passengers found to be symptomatic during screening shall be immediately isolated and taken to medical facility as per health protocol.
  • Travellers from specified Countries at risk will follow the protocol as detailed below:
    • Submission of sample for post-arrival COVID-19 test
    • at the point of arrival (self-paid). Such travellers will be required to wait for their test results at the arrival airport before leaving or taking a connecting flight.
    • If tested negative they will follow, home quarantine for 7 days. Re-test on the 8th day of arrival in India
    • and if negative, further self-monitor of their health for next 7 days.
    • However, if such travellers are tested positive, their samples should be sent for genomic testing at INSACOG laboratory network.
    • They shall be managed at separate isolation facility and treated as per laid down standard protocol including contact tracing mentioned in para (xiv).
    • The contacts of such positive case should be kept under institutional quarantine or at home quarantine monitored strictly by the concerned State Government as per laid down protocol
  • xvii. Travellers from Countries excluding those Countries at risk, will be allowed to leave the airport and shall self-monitor their health for 14 days’ post arrival. A sub-section (5% of the total flight passengers) shall undergo post-arrival testing at random at the airport on arrival. a. The 5% of such travellers in each flight shall be identified by the concerned airlines (preferably from different countries). b. Such travellers shall be escorted by the concerned airlines/MoCA to testing area on arrival. c. The cost of testing of such travellers shall be borne by MoCA. d.Laboratories shall prioritize testing of samples from such travellers. e. If such travellers are tested positive, they shall be managed as per laid down standard protocol and samples would further send for genomic testing.
  • xviii. If travellers under home quarantine or self-health monitoring, develop signs and symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 or test positive for COVID-19 on re-testing, they will immediately selfisolate and report to their nearest health facility or call National helpline number (1075)/ State Helpline Number
  • International travelers arriving at seaports/land portsg
  • xix. International travellers arriving through seaports/land ports will also have to undergo the same protocol as above, except that facility for online registration is not available for such passengers currently.
  • xx. Such travellers shall submit the self-declaration form to the concerned authorities of Government of India at seaports/land ports on arrival.
  • xxi. * Children under 5 years of age are exempted from both pre- and post-arrival testing. However, if found symptomatic for COVID-19 on arrival or during home quarantine period, they shall undergo testing and treated as per laid down protocol. # Contacts of the suspect case are the co-passengers seated in the same row, 3 rows in front and 3 rows behind along with identified Cabin Crew. Also, all the community contacts of those travellers who have tested positive (during home quarantine period) would be subjected to quarantine for 14 days and tested as per ICMR protocol
  • The restrictions imposed by the Government of India guidelines dated 28t' November, 2021 as well as future restrictions if any, shall act as minimum restrictions to be imposed.
  • DCP immigration and FRRO to draft a proforma of declaration for all arriving passengers on international flights to declare details of the countries visited in last 15 days. MIAL to share the proformas with all airlines and the information regarding travel in the last 15 days shall be cross checked by immigration on arrival.
  • The international passengers arriving from At Risk countries (declared by GOI front time to time) may be deplaned on priority and separate counters will be arranged by MIAL and Airport Authority for their checking. Such all passengers shall have to undergo mandatory 7 day institutional quarantine and RTPCR test to be carried out on days 2, 4 and 7 for these passengers. If any of the test is found to be positive, then the passenger shall be shifted to a hospital. In case of all tests coming negative. the passenger will have to undergo a further 7 days of home quarantine.
  • Passengers from any other countries except the at risk countries will have to compulsorily undergo RTPCR test at the airport on arrival valid on being found negative, will have to undergo 14 days of home quarantine. If found positive, they will be shifted to the hospital.
  • In case of an international passenger having a connecting flight to any other airport in India (without leaving the airport at all), passenger shall undergo a RTPCR test at the first arrival airport in Maharashtra and only on being found negative will he be allowed to board the connecting flight.
  • In the case of domestic air travel, passengers travelling within the state will either ha e to be fully vaccinated or compulsorily carry a RTPCR test within 48 hours of the time of arrival.
  • In case of passengers from other States, negative RTPCR test within 48 hours of arrival will be compulsory without exceptions.
  • Eligibility from India to Morocco
  • The Government of Morocco has revised their entry restrictions. All flights to or from Morocco are suspended except over flights, cargo flights or flights within exceptional authorisation from the air transport direction (DTA / DGAC) via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Morocco. Countries are now classified in two lists: A and B.
  • Conditions for travellers arriving from countries in list A:
  • Travellers coming from countries included in list A, whether they are Moroccan nationals, foreigners established in Morocco, citizens of those countries or foreigners residing in those countries, must:
    • Provide a valid vaccination certificate approved by the Moroccan Ministry of Health proving that the passenger has received the complete required dosage of a vaccine at least 2 weeks before travel, or
    • A negative COVID 19 PCR test certificate, issued by an accredited laboratory, no more than 48 hours between the time the sample was taken and the time of departure. Complete a Passenger Health Form before departure and present a printed and signed copy of the form upon arrival. The vaccination certificate or PCR test must be included in the Health Pass for passengers arriving from countries where the Health Pass is actively used.

  • Travellers coming from countries included in list B are divided into two categories. Vaccinated passengers must:
    • Provide a valid vaccination certificate approved by the Moroccan Ministry of Health proving that the passenger has received the complete dosage of a vaccine at least 2 weeks before travel
    • Present a negative COVID 19 PCR test certificate, issued by an accredited laboratory, no more than 48 hours between the time the sample was taken and the time of departure.
    • This also applies to passengers who have a valid vaccination certificate and,
    • Minors over 11 years old and below 18 years old must have a negative COVID 19 PCR test certificate only when travelling with fully vaccinated adult family members.
    • Complete a Passenger Health Form before departure and present a printed and signed copy of the form upon arrival.
  • Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated foreigners who are residents of Morocco with a valid resident card must:
    • Present a negative COVID 19 PCR test certificate issued by an accredited laboratory for a test taken no more than 48 hours between the time the sample was taken and the time of departure.
    • On arrival, they will be subject to self isolation at home for 5 days, and a COVID 19 PCR test on day 5.
    • Complete a Passenger Health Form before departure and present a printed and signed copy of the form upon arrival.
    • Complete and sign the Self Declaration Form in Arabic or French.
  • Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated foreign passengers who are not residents in Morocco must:
    • Present a negative COVID 19 PCR test certificate, issued by an accredited laboratory, no more than 48 hours between the time the sample was taken and the time of departure. On arrival, they will be required to undergo a sanitary isolation/quarantine for 10 days at one of the designated hotels. This must be booked before travel, directly with the hotel and proof of payment for the hotel booking must be presented at the time of check in.
    • Complete a Passenger Health Form before departure and present a printed and signed copy of the form upon arrival.
    • Complete and sign the Self Declaration Form in Arabic or French.
  • Note: Passengers from list B countries who have stayed in a list A country for more than 10 days before travelling to Morocco must comply with the requirements for list A countries.

  • Transit from Morocco
  • Customers with onward bookings from Morocco have to ensure that the transit time does not exceed 24 hours and that the onward booking is within the same day of arrival in Morocco. Night stops or layovers in the transit area are not permitted
  • Passenger obligation
  • Passengers must pay MAD 100 toward the cost of transfer from airport to the quarantine hotel in cash on arrival.
  • Required forms
  • All travellers must complete the passenger health form in Arabic or French before departure and present a printed and signed copy of the form upon arrival
  • Quarantine Protocol
  • Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated Moroccan citizens and members of their family arriving from countries on list B are subject to self isolation at home for 5 days, and a COVID 19 PCR test on day 5.
  • All unvaccinated foreigners must undergo a 10 day quarantine at an authorised hotel. If the booked hotel is not in Casablanca, passengers must present confirmed air tickets for their connecting flight.
  • Visa and Immigration related updates:
  • All travellers, except children below 11 years old, who are entering Morocco must take a COVID 19 PCR test. COVID 19 PCR test must be within 48 hours from sample taken and valid on departure. The printed test results must be presented on request at check in and to local officials on arrival.
  • Alternatively, only passengers travelling from category A countries have the option to present a valid vaccination certificate indicating that all required vaccine doses have been administered. This will replace the negative COVID 19 PCR test certificate requirement.
  • Your test should be taken at an accredited clinic in Morocco and your results must be issued in Arabic, French or English.

  • If you are unable to present proof of your negative COVID-19 PCR test, you will not be permitted to travel.
  • Exemptions
  • Children below the age of 11 are exempted from COVID 19 PCR testing regardless of which country they come from.
  • Any other information if any
  • Please check the list of health facilities authorised to conduct COVID 19 PCR testing in Morocco.
  • You must wear a face mask at all times when you travel.
  • Eligibility from Morocco to India
  • Travel to India is restricted to specified categories of passengers. You will be required to take a COVID 19 PCR test both before departure and on arrival. Please check the requirements of your final destination before you travel.
  • Travel eligibility
  • Flights to India will be restricted only to the following passengers:
    • Indian Nationals or nationals of Nepal or Bhutan stranded in UAE or in any country in South America or Africa;
    • All overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders and person of Indian origin (PIO) cardholders holding passports of any country;
    • UAE nationals and foreign nationals (from any country in South America or Africa only) intending to visit India for any purpose (including their dependents on appropriate category of dependent visa) except those on Tourist visa.
  • Passenger obligation
  • IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS TO COMPLETE BEFORE YOU FLY
  • When you’ve booked, you must complete a Passenger Information Form online.
  • It’s really important that you do this before your trip – you may not be permitted to fly otherwise.
  • You must also complete a Self Reporting Form online.
  • Remember to upload your COVID-19 PCR test results, passport and Arrival Self Declaration form at newdelhiairport.in:
  • Your COVID-19 PCR test result along with a copy of your passport and print your test result for validation at check-in.
  • Complete an Arrival Self Declaration form. Please print four copies of the form and present them when you check in at the airport and to the relevant Indian authorities.
  • Upon uploading of the documents, you will receive a confirmation receipt. You can present either a printed or electronic copy of the receipt code.
  • You must present your receipt upon arrival in order to be processed by the local authorities.
  • All guests including children must complete this process.
  • All passengers, including children and infants, must submit a self declaration form (SDF) under the Air Suvidha section on the online portal before the scheduled departure with complete contact details and address. Passengers will receive an approval code that must be presented at the time of departure.
  • All passengers must mention clearly in the SDF whether they plan to disembark at the arrival airport or take transit flights. Transit passengers must present the “T” (Transit) receipt on their SDF to state authority/ government of India.
  • All passengers must declare if they have a travel history to United Kingdom, Brazil or South Africa in the past 14 days. This will be indicated with an “H” on their SDF.
  • All passengers must carry 1 printed copy of the self declaration form (SDF) at the time of departure, except for Hyderabad (HYD) where 2 printed copies of the SDF are required.
  • All passengers must submit an undertaking form on the online portal agreeing to follow advice by the appropriate government authority to undergo home quarantine or self monitoring of their health for 14 days or as mandated.
  • These are mandatory requirements, you will not be able to travel if you have not completed them.

  • You must home quarantine for seven days.
  • All passengers travelling from the United Kingdom, Brazil and South Africa are advised to quarantine at home for 7 days. Passengers must take a COVID 19 RT PCR test on the 7th day of arrival. If they test negative, they can be released from quarantine and continue to monitor their health for 7 days.
  • All passengers travelling to Mumbai must submit a self declaration form and an undertaking form agreeing to undergo a mandatory 14 day home quarantine.
  • All other passengers will be allowed to leave the airport/take transit flights and will be required to undertake self monitoring of their health for 14 days.
  • Mandatory Quarantine & Testing Rules:
  • All passengers, including children and infants, must upload their COVID 19 RT PCR results on the Air Suvidha online portal for a test taken within 72 hours prior to the start of their journey.Your test can be taken at any accredited medical facility.
  • All passengers must carry a hard copy of a negative COVID 19 RT PCR certificate test at the time of departure. Digital copies will not be allowed. Certificate should be in English, specifying name of passenger and the outcome of the test.
  • Arrival in India without a negative COVID 19 RT PCR test report will only be allowed in cases of exigency of death in family. Passengers can apply for such an exemption on the online portal at least 72 hours before boarding. The decision taken by the government as communicated on the online portal will be final.
  • All passengers, including infants and children, without any exception, are to undergo self paid molecular tests upon arrival at the Indian airports (port of entry). Passengers must carry adequate funds for the same.
  • All passengers can leave their entry point in India after taking the on arrival molecular tests except for the following:
    • 1. Passengers travelling from the Brazil and South Africa and arriving at Bangalore airport must wait for their results before leaving the airport or connecting to another flight.
    • 2. Connecting passengers travelling from the United Kingdom, Brazil and South Africa and transiting at Indian airports must wait 8 10 hours at the entry airport in India before taking their connecting flights.
  • All passengers who test positive for COVID 19 during the on arrival molecular tests will undergo treatment per standard health protocol. If they’re travelling from the United Kingdom, Brazil and South Africa they will be isolated in an institutional isolation facility coordinated by the respective state health authorities.
  • If you are unable to present proof of your negative COVID-19 PCR test, you will not be permitted to travel.
  • Print your test results and keep them with you for validation
  • Any other information if any
  • MEDICAL SCREENING AND TESTING ON ARRIVAL
  • You will be subject to COVID-19 PCR test and home quarantine for seven days upon your arrival to New Delhi.
  • The test cost is INR 800 if you are leaving the airport and 3,400 if you are transiting the airport, you will need to wait for your test results.
  • TRANSIT INFORMATION
  • Guests who in the past 21 days have been in or transited through the United Kingdom for more than 2 hours will not be allowed to enter.
  • You will be unable to transit on international flights through Bengaluru, Chennai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata or Mumbai.
  • LOCAL REGULATIONS
  • As a directive from Indian authorities, it is mandatory to wear a face mask at all times when you travel. You must also wear a face shield during your flight. This will be provided to you on board.
  • International travellers on short stay
  • International travellers on short stay (less than 14 days) and who have tested negative and remain symptom free will undergo all the procedures as mentioned above and be permitted to leave India subject to fulfilling the requirements of their destination country.
  • Ahmedabad (AMD)
  • On arrival molecular test will cost approximately INR 700 per person.
  • In order to expedite the sampling process upon arrival at Ahmedabad, all passengers are requested to fill the required information on the NorthStar Labs website.
  • Nuberg Supretach rapid COVID 19 PCR testing facilities are also available at the Inter Terminal Link Way, opposite T1 in SVPI Airport, Ahmedabad. Cost of test is INR 4000 per passenger.
  • Bangalore (BLR)
  • All passengers travelling to Bengaluru (BLR) must download the Aarogya setu app, Quarantine Watch app and Apthamitra app on their mobile devices. Click here to download the apps. On arrival molecular test per person will cost approximately as below:
  • RT PCR Express INR 3,200, 30 minutes processing time
  • RT PCR (normal) INR 800, 4 hours processing time

  • Passengers arriving from Brazil and South Africa and who test positive for COVID 19 will have to undergo institutional quarantine for 14 days at government provided facilities at government cost. Passengers may also choose to stay at self paid facilities.
  • Passengers arriving from Brazil and South Africa and who test negative for COVID 19 will undergo home quarantine for 14 days with a follow up PCR test to be conducted on the 7th day.
  • Chennai (MAA)
  • All passengers must, ensure TN e pass is applied and details are ready to be shown to state health authorities. Contact us to update the details of TN e pass at least 48 hours before departure
  • Transfer passengers on arrival who are travelling to other states have to apply for fresh e pass on arrival and follow the other state process when connecting on to a domestic flight. Transfer facility of passengers and baggage currently not available.

  • Delhi (DEL)
  • On arrival molecular test will cost approximately INR 800 per person.
    Passengers who have to wait for their results before their connecting flights must pay for the lounge cost at approximately INR 2,600 per person.
  • Hyderabad (HYD)
  • On arrival molecular test will cost approximately INR 1,250 per person.
    Passengers who have to wait for their results before their connecting flights must pay for the lounge cost at approximately INR 4,200 per person.
  • Kerala (COK/TRV)
  • All passengers travelling to Kerala must also update their details on COVID 19 Jagratha portal at least two days before departure.
    On arrival molecular test will be free of cost.
  • Kolkata (CCU)
  • On arrival molecular test will cost approximately INR 950 per person.
  • Mumbai (BOM)
  • On arrival molecular test will cost approximately INR 600 per person.
