Be it the Jog Falls of Karnataka or the magnificent Athirappilly Falls in Kerala or the Nohkalikai Falls in Meghalaya, all are beautiful beyond description. One state in India which is privileged to host some of the most enchanting waterfalls in Karnataka. There are some magnificent waterfalls all along the length and breadth of the state.<\/p>\n<p>These waterfalls bring in a lot of national and international tourists around the year. The waterfall sits snugly on the border of Uttara Kannada and Shimoga district. The waterfall is locally known as Jogada Gundi and Gersoppa Falls too. The waterfalls are formed when the Sharavathi River falls from a height of 253 metres in four streams named \u2013 Raja, Rani, Rocket and Roarer.\u00a0 The Rocket is named so because of its ability to nosedive at rocket speed.
