The Bandhavgarh Fort is believed to be one of the oldest forts in India and is more than 2000 years old, even though there is no historical document or record to support this fact. The majestic fort lying in the heart of the forest makes for a trek that isn’t worth missing. The view from the same is also extremely picturesque. Although prior permission is required from the park authorities to visit the fort, it can be safely said that no trip to Bandhavgarh is complete without a visit to the fort. Apart from the rich cultural history of the fort, one also feels close to wildlife as animals can be spotted from here.
