Religious places in Maharashtra

The religious places of every faith have found the place in Maharashtra. Shirdi has been one of the prime places of pilgrimage where both Hindus and Muslims visit from all over India. Nasik is also considered to be the holy city for Hindus as the most divine Kumbh Mela is arranged here every three years and even this place hosts Maha Kumbh Mela every twelve years.

Hazi Ali Tomb in Mumbai is believed to be more than 800 years old. The devotees of all faith visit this place. The path to this tomb from mainland gets submerged in water every year during heavy monsoon.
