Canoeing on the canal of Långholmskanalen or the 32 nautical miles long destination Långviksskär into the archipelago, or on the 5.5 miles long Ältaån stream or skating during the winters- the options for adventure are plenty.

There is also the hiking trail of Sörmlandsleden, which is 621 miles long, that is just outside the boundary of Stockholm.
