This is an iconic Christian church not only in Paris but all of France. The church's architecture is remarkable and its considered to be a fine example of French style Gothic architecture. During the French Revolution, the church was severely damaged and went through a significant restoration in 1845. In 1991 again, a restoration project was commissioned to ensure the maintenance of this iconic cathedral.
