The castle is situated on Orava river to the North of Slovakia and with its impressive stature and stunning beauty is a must visit destination for all tourists visiting Slovakia. Though the castle was originally built in Gothic and Romanesque style but after numerous rebuilding in different periods it has now acquired a neo-Gothic and Renaissance style and is also the official national monument of Slovakia.
