About the park : Priyadarshini Park was created to blend together sports and nature, and though it was built by a private corporation rather than the government, it was a struggle to build. Now, it serves as a testament to the spirit of Mumbai, which is why it is very close to the hears of the Mumbaikars that visit daily to get their dose of fun in the sun. 

Priyadarshini Park offers a range of activities that are conducted within its premises, including athletics, football, aerobics, kick boxing, yoga, CrossFit, tennis, and Krav Maga (Israeli Self Defence)


Highlights of Priyadarshini Park

  • Priyadarshini park has a large football ground, jogging track, tennis court and a golf course. There are two large lawns too where children can play and have fun.
  • Apart from its enormous grounds and well-maintained lawns, it has a state-of-the-art gymnasium, a yoga room, an aerobics centre, basketball courts, four tennis courts and a boxing ring too, making it a great place for sports enthusiasts. 
  • There are 3 full sized and 1 half sized synthetic tennis court and a 400 metre eight lane synthetic track that meets the Olympic standards. Since the park is Sea facing, one can get calming views of the sea and have a relaxing time.


Best time to visit Priyadarshani Park

The park can be visited all through the year as the climate in Mumbai is moderate. Visiting the park during the summers might not be the best idea as it can get humid around noon, however, you can always visit during the evening.

The park opens from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm and then from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. There is no entry fee. . 


How to get there

The park is easy to access by all modes of public transport. One can hop aboard a local train, cab or bus to get there without any hassle. If you’re taking the local train, then you must get off at Grant Road station and then get a cab from there.
