Thomas Cook (India) Posts Impressive Q3 Results
- Revenue increase by 42% to Rs.476.8 million
- Profits up by 17% at Rs.100 million
Mumbai August 25, 2006: Thomas Cook (India) Limited, a leading travel solutions player in the country, has posted an impressive growth in the 3rd Quarter of the current year, showing a revenue increase of 42%, from Rs.334.9 million to Rs.476.8 million. Similarly, the cumulative position for the first nine months of the year (November 2005 to July 2006) has posted a revenue increase of 27%, i.e. from Rs.965.5 million to Rs.1,228.2 million.
The profits for the Quarter have been Rs.100 million against the previous year's figure of Rs.85.8 million, showing an increase of 17%.
Commenting on the performance of the Company, Mr. Madhavan Menon, Managing Director, Thomas Cook India Ltd said, "The impressive performance in the third quarter was due mainly to substantial improvement in all business divisions - Travel, Forex and Insurance. Innovative marketing strategies along with investments in manpower training & development have started paying rich dividends. The outlook for the rest of the financial year remains positive."
