Alexandria In Egypt

Alexandria is the second largest city in Egypt and has a total population of 4.5 million people. The city has the largest port in the country and is referred to as "Egypt's Window to the Mediterranean." Alexandria was once a thriving cosmopolitan city, which has since faded away, none the less the city is worth a visit, especially if you want a glimpse of the countries glorious past.

How to reach: The city is a 2.5 hours road trip from Cairo, and there is a direct train from Luxor to Alexandria. The best way to tour the city is to book a tour from with Cairo or Luxor that will include all your transfers.
