Kalpanath temple: It is located at a distance of 160kms from Kedarnath is another holy spot famous for the Kalpanath Temple. It lies at an altitude of 2134 meters and is the place of worship of Lord Shiva’s Jata(hair).
Tungnath Temple: Another holy temple is located at a distance of 90 kms from the Kedarnath temple. It is located at the highest elevation among all the five temples and is few kilometres away from the temple of Kedarnath. Chandrashila: The peak at this point offers a unique view of the neighboring snow capped hills of the beautiful Himalays. After visiting Tunganath one can a few more kilometers to reach Chandrashila. The route is beautifully lined with rhododendron and pines.
