You won’t find many shopping destinations on Svalbard and Jan Mayenislands. But you will find some wonderful street shops in the capital of Longyearbyen. You can see how the town people sell things made from natural material they get around them. You can get a few souvenir shops here too. There is one big departmental store where you can get all your necessary belongings and daily needs. You won’t find any other big shops in any of the other islands. So it is suggested that you shop in Longyearbyen while you are there.
