Note: Please know that the timings may vary during festivals, particularly Shravani Mela (July–August) and Mahashivratri. During these periods, the temple may remain open for extended hours, so do not forget to check for festival-specific schedule updates.

As per the Mandir’s FAQ section, the morning aarti begins at 4:30 AM, and the evening Sandhya Aarti is at 6:30 PM. 

Is There VIP Darshan in Vaidyanath?

Shravan Mela at Vaidyanath

4. Carry minimal luggage. This is because crowded pilgrimage areas are easier to navigate with fewer belongings.
5. Start early because morning hours can help avoid some of the day’s heat.
6. Expect delays as there are many traffic diversions, and even security checks can extend journey times.
7. Protect valuables such as phones, wallets, and documents when visiting the Vaidyanath Jyotirlinga temple.

1. Basukinath Temple

Basukinath is a Shiva temple and is traditionally connected with the pilgrimage to Baba Baidyanath. Devotees almost always visit both temples as part of the same circuit. It is open from 6 AM to 6 PM.

Trikuta Parvat is enjoyed via ropeway. It is a scenic destination to enjoy caves and a spiritual one too, as it has a Shiva temple.

Dress Code & Darshan Etiquette When Visiting Baidyanath

You do not need to follow an elaborate dress code when you visit Baidyanath Dham Jyotirlinga, but keep in mind that modest and comfortable clothing is recommended. Ideally, to respect the culture, you should not be wearing clothes that show your skin.

However, during Shravan, saffron clothing is particularly common because of the large number of Kanwariyas. However, it is not mandatory.

2. Follow instructions from temple authorities.
3. Do not cut queues.
4. Keep valuables to a minimum.

Please note: Wheelchairs are available at zero cost at the temple office on a first-come, first-served basis for people who need them. However, carry a valid ID. 

Are Mobile Phones Allowed Inside the Baidyanath Temple?

Before you enter the sanctum, you must switch mobile phones off or keep them in the designated locker area. Lockers are available free of charge inside the mandir.

Keep in mind that photography is not permitted inside the main sanctum. However, you can take Baidyanath temple photos in the outer temple complex.
