UTTAN, Amongst Best Places for Camping Near Mumbai
This small, beautiful town is located along the coastline of Thane District beyond Gorai, away from the hustle and bustle of our city. It is a slow-moving fishermen village which, even though is a part of the city, feels so different and aloof. It is the perfect place to go for an overnight camping experience near Mumbai, under the stars and along the pristine waters. How to reach Uttan:
By road: Buses for Bhayandar start from places like Goregaon, Andheri and many more. From Bhayandar can change buses and reach Uttan or hire a local transport.
By train: One can take a train up to Bhayandar Railway Station, it is situated 12 kilometers away from Uttan.

VASIND
Tucked away from the noises of Mumbai in lush green mountains is this surreal place called as Karnala Bird Sanctuary. By train: Panvel is the nearest railway station to Karnala. Located at a mere 11-kilometer distance, you can easily hire an auto, taxi or even board a state run bus to reach the destination

KOLAD, Must Visit Places for Camping Near Mumbai
Mumbai’s alternative to Rishikesh’s white water rafting, Kolad is a gorgeous riverside gaining more and more importance with each passing day. Purushwadi is a quaint small town located at the end of the grass laden Kalsubai Peak. When you visit this place, you will get a firsthand experience of the village life, meeting locals, knowing their life and even participating in daily farming activities. One can even opt for easy yet fulfilling day treks to the mighty Konkan Kada and Harishchandragad. However, the cherry on the cake for Purushwadi is surely the glowing fireflies.
