For many of us, it is a passion, a deep, undying desire to explore the unknown landscapes, get the stories from the locals, sample exotic cuisines and more. 1. Wayanad, Kerala

We start our travel diary of places for solo Women Travellers in India with a touch of sense and serenity in God’s own country. Nestled in North-Eastern Kerala, this quaint district has plenty to offer for Solo Women Travellers. Surrounded by tea and coffee plantations along with dense forests, Wayanad is the place to be for some good rest and relaxation over a weekend. For the keen explorers, Wayanad has really well-preserved natural caves of pre-historic times and a rich tribal heritage as well. All in all, a perfect potpourri over a long weekend. 3. Hampi, Karnataka

The enchanting, mythical ruins of Hampi are as majestic as their ancient. The temples here are known for the intricately painted walls depicting scenes from the Ramayana. Other important landmarks of Hampi include the Mahanavami Dibba which is the tallest structure in the centre and the Zenana Enclosure which used to be a walled harem in the era gone by.

It is spread across three hillocks, Sadh Tiba, Pandewa and Rajgarh and is a relatively untouched location in our list of places for Women Travellers.
