This is the perfect year to live out of a backpack and explore the enthralling gorgeousness, the beautiful colours of India. As February marks the end of winter and the beginning of a spectacular spring, you must definitely not miss this scenic beauty! Here are 11 destinations for a blissful long weekend, this February:
Long Weekend Destinations
Goa carnival (25th – 28th February):
This time go to Goa and bask in the colours of celebration at the Goa Carnival. Experience Goa like never before! The carnival is a 4-day razzle-dazzle, celebrated with utmost zeal throughout the state. Goa Carnival 2017 will be held from 25th – 28th The major locations are Panjim, Mapsua, Margoa and Vasco Da Gama. Agra:

Make the most of the Mahashivratri long weekend (24th, 25th, 26th February) and head to Varanasi for the festival. As a part of the Mahashivratri festival, all Shiva temples of Varanasi are decorated and a procession of Lord Shiva is taken from Mahamrityunjaya temple.
Diu:
The minute your gaze fall upon the beaches of Diu, you are sure to forget the ones in Malaysia and Thailand. The beauty of Diu lies in its tranquillity, head here to relax and rejuvenate yourself whilst enjoying the beauty of the beach and sunset.
Gulmarg:
Lose yourself in the arms of snow at the Gulmarg winter festival starting February 1st, 2017. The carnival includes skiing, ice hockey, snow sculpting and snow rugby.
Yercaud:
Yercaud is a hill station in Salem District, Tamil Nadu. It is located in the Shevaroys range of hills in the Eastern Ghats. Known for its religious celebrations and rich culture, you must experience the ‘Yaksha Festival’ held here in February.
Hampi:
