She made her debut as a child artist at the age of 4 in the Tamil film Kandhan Karunai. Her first iconic role came with the film Moondru Mudichu as a young girl named Selvi. Over the years she established herself as an actress above par with movies like Lamhe, Moondram Pirai, Sadma, Mr. India, Kshana Kshanam, Pathinaru Vayathinile, Chaalbaaz, Nagina, Himmatwala and more.
