The Burj Khalifa
At 829.8 m, Dubai’s premiere 162 storey building, is also the tallest building in the world. From the observation deck on the 124th floor, one can easily get a bird’s eye view of the resplendent Dubai skyline.

Dubai museum
Dubai museum is situated in Al Fahidi Fort. Built in 1787, it is also the oldest fort in the world. The museum is a perfect amalgamation of Dubai’s past and present. Items such as descriptive dioramas showcasing Dubai’s past and galleries displaying Arab houses, land scenes, markets, deserts and waterway visions are all encompassed within the Museum’s displays. Dubai creek
A lover of gushing waters and all things blue? Visit the Dubai creek. Dividing the city into two towns, with Deira to the north, and Bar Dubai to the south, it extends from the trading port of the Gulf, to the Ras al Khor bird sanctuary on the desert edge. It is the vibrant heart of old Dubai, and is still used by small traders from across the Gulf.

Bastakiya quarter
It gets its name from Bastak, Iran, and this mini neighborhood is also Dubai’s most captivating area. It is akin to a maze of wind-towered buildings, which have been converted into art galleries, boutique hotels, and cafes. One can catch a glimpse of historical architecture, dating all the way back to the 18th century, while roaming through this picturesque heritage site.

Dubai aquarium
The Dubai aquarium, situated on the ground floor of Dubai mall, is one of the world’s largest suspended aquariums. It houses around 140 species in its 10-million liter tank. There are a myriad of ways in which one can get closer to the sea life, including free viewing from the mall, and a bunch of underground walk-through tunnels.

Dubai mall
This gigantic mall also serves as a gateway to the Dubai aquarium, and Burj Khalifa. It is Dubai’s finest mall, and houses a wide array of luxury brands, along with an ice rink, a gaming arcade, and a cinema complex. It is also home to world renowned shopping and music festivals, like the Dubai shopping festival in January and February, and the Dubai summer surprises festival in July and August.

Jumeirah beach
Jumeirah beach is a white sand beach that is located and named after the Jumeirah district of Dubai. This serene summer getaway, is the number one beach destination for tourists, with its undiluted, crystalline waters. It also has a wide array of hotels strung along its length, thus making it one of the most popular places in Dubai to stay.

Jumeirah mosque
It is regarded by many to be the most magnificent of Dubai’s mosques. An identical replica of Cairo’s Al-Azhar Mosque, which is about eight times its size, the Jumeirah Mosque is an ideal symbol of Islamic architecture. This stone structure is constructed in the medieval Fatimid tradition with two minarets that showcase the intricate details in the stonework. Deira Souks
The world’s largest gold bazaar, perfectly reflects the diversity of cultures that travel to Dubai every year. It has majorly contributed towards Dubai being called ‘The city of gold’. The markets are most popular for their jewelry, which is of all types, antique and modern, with plenty of options for customization.

The Burj al Arab
Standing at a height of 321 m and located on its own private island, The Burj al Arab is the world’s tallest hotel. This opulent hotel is not for the faint hearted, with a bewildering tariff of over $15000 per night. One can also dine at Al-Mahara, a luxury restaurant underwater where glass panels allow you to watch the marine life while you eat. The Skyview Bar on the 27th floor, offers a panoramic view of Dubai, as well.
