Table of contents
What do the telephone, the Eiffel Tower, the ice cream cone, and IMAX have in common?
All of them were launched or introduced to the world at various World Expos over the years. Come October 1st, 2021, the Expo 2020 Dubai is set to host its first ever World Expo. Postponed a year due to the pandemic, the desert oasis will be pulling all stops to dazzle the world with its usual audacity. Apart from its glitz and glamour, every global expo has a theme that reflected in its setup. The theme of this year’s World Expo is, “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”.
The Expo 2020 Dubai will be spread over 4.4 square kilometres and divided into three pavilions, named after its three sub-themes: Sustainability, Mobility and Opportunity. India will set up its pavilion in the Opportunity section to showcase its IT might and Space Power. It will commemorate 75 years of our independence with 75 different stories from around the country. The Expo 2020 Dubai promises a smorgasbord of delights such as the world’s largest 360-degree projection screen. Around 25 million visitors are expected to attend the latest World Expo. And you should be a part of it too.
What is a Global Expo?
Global, or World Expos are more than just exhibitions, they are gateways to the future. Ever since the first World Expo of 1851, countries have gathered under one roof to showcase their products and craftsmanship, every five years. From the humble ketchup to touchscreens, numerous world-changing inventions have been unveiled at one of the World Expos. It is here that ideas are exchanged, and innovations are shared with the world.
If you want a peek into the future, you must visit an expo. You may witness history being made, first-hand, at one of the unveilings. When it was introduced to the world, who would’ve thought that the telephone would bring the world closer to such an extent? You may even learn a thing or two about the advancements our country has made. Visit a World Expo and broaden your horizons.

What to expect at Expo 2020 Dubai?
The Expo 2020 Dubai will play host to 191 country pavilions while the country pavilions will be the main attractions at the expos, there are numerous secondary acts.
