The city is famous for its cross also known as the Magellan’s cross as it was been founded by Ferdinand Magellan the Portuguese who arrived in the year 1521 to establish trade relations with the city.It is a symbol that depicts the presence and love for Christianity in the country. The people of Cebu known Cebuanos are very colourful which can be ascertained from their dress code and lifestyle that they adopt during the festivals.
