Debre Birhan Selassie Church In Ethiopia

This church in Gondar was built by Emperor Eyasu II during the 17th century. The church earns its name from the nickname of the emperor which stands for “Mountain of Light”. The interior of the church depicts biblical scenes while the ceiling is covered with faces of angels.
