Lakyun Set Kyar In Burma

The Lakyun Set Kyar is a tall statue situated in Myanmar and is considered the world’s second tallest statue. This is a statue of Gautam Buddha in the village of KhatakanTaung and was built over a period of twelve years. It was built by the Chief Abbot Ven. Burma is scattered with enormous Buddhist monuments. The most significant stupa is the Shwemawdaw Pagoda where people flock in hordes to see in the magnificence of the monument. The Golden Rock Pagoda is another historic monument which is breathtakingly beautiful. It is perched up on the brink of a precipice, but reaching this place needs a healthy body as you are required to climb an hour’s uphill climb.
