Since alcohol is allowed in Oman, the western hotels here have bars and lounge which are open throughout the night. The pubs and bars do not line the open streets of Oman, but they are found in plenty inside the boundaries of the hotels. Dancing and singing is again within the boundaries and one does not find such form of night life in the open here.
