Wat Benchamabophit is one of the most unusual and extravagant temples in Bangkok. Depicting the typical architectural-style of Bangkok, this beautiful temple is constructed with gleaming white Carrara marble from Italy. The beautiful combination of European designs and Thailand’s religious architecture makes the temple a major tourist attraction. It houses a grandiose Sukhothai-style Buddha statue, Phra Buddha Chinnarat, which is originally placed in northern Thailand. You will also get to see 52 images of Lord Buddha from different periods.
Other popular religious places in Bangkok are Wat Mahathat Yuwaratrangsarit, Sri Mariamman Temple, Wat Bowonniwet Vihara, Kalawar Church (Holy Rosary Church), Wat Ratchabophit Wat Ratchanaddaram, Phra Siratana Chedi and Wat Mongkonbophit.
