Located in the capital city, Sarajevo, this is regarded as a prominent Islamic structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is also deemed as a great example of Ottoman architecture. The awesome stalactite ornamentation under the dome and polychromatic decoration creates a sense of space in the interior. The edifice in neighborhood suffered heavy damage in the 1990’s war and its renovation began again in the year 2000.
