Old Quebec is full of monuments, almost at every corner. Churchill and Roosevelt Monument is to commemorate Churchill; the British PM’s and Roosevelt; the American President’s visit to Quebec. The Champlain Monument is a tribute to the founder of the city (1608). A statue of Charles de Gaulle stands in Quebec in memory of the great French President. UNESCO Monument is another major attraction in the city. Tourists can also have a tour of the Parliament Building grounds and check out statues of Jean Leage, Rene Levesque and Maurice Duplessis.
