This is also a city municipal museum of Nice which is recently installed in the prestigious villas of the XIX century known as the Promenade des Anglais. It is known that the son of Victor Massena sold this property and demanded that the garden should be open for the public. This way, the villa became the museum to store local history. Public receptions also take place in a pavilion located at the north of the building. Both the villa and the museum are important tourist attraction of Nice.
