The Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary, a relocation centre for elephants at Lanchang, is another must-visit. Established in 1989, the Sanctuary is managed by Malaysian department of Wildlife and National Parks. It was originally built to give shelter to orphaned elephants, and later it became a renowned tourist attraction.
