One of the major tourist attractions of the city of Foumban is the Palais Royal. It is the residence of the 19th sultan of the Bamoun dynasty who currently resides here. Inside the palace complex there is a well-organised museum which contains several of the previous sultans' possessions who belonged to this dynasty. A little bit knowledge of French can help you understand better about the history and culture of this region. It is open to public from 9am to 6pm.
