The intricacy of the architecture is such that you can keep looking at it for hours at a stretch.

La Pedrera

This majestic piece of architecture was built by Catalan architect AntoniGaudí, whose best works are located in Barcelona itself, as a combined office block and apartment. It is indeed a unique structural masterpiece and plays host to concerts sometimes.

Poble Espanyol

This beautiful exhibit of Spanish architecture shows the different kinds of buildings one can see all over Spain, all in one place. Interestingly enough, it was originally built as a temporary exhibit meant to be there for six months only.

Palau de la Musica

This beautiful palace was built by modernist architect Lluis Domenechi Montaner and was declared as a World Heritage Site in 1997. The palace itself is a beautiful structure adorned with breath-taking sculptures and also has a concert hall. Organized group tours are available to see this palace. 

Basilica de Santa Maria del Mar

Known as Barcelona’s best Gothic church, the Basilica de Santa Maria del Mar (Our Lady of the Sea) is simplistic and devoid of any kind of exaggerated decoration. Look out for musical recitals which take place here pretty often.
