You get a lot of small shops in the populated areas of the archipelagos which offer good quality food which tastes great. They are cheap and worth your while. Mostly the food revolves around fish and meat, since vegetation is a bit hard to come by in the extreme cold areas. But you will find an ample amount of dishes present. You can even find a few bigger restaurants but only in Longyearbyen. They offer a variety of cuisines but are much filled during the tourism months and getting a reservation during this time is very difficult.
