Chopta can be visited throughout the year. During the summer months, the weather is very pleasant and trekking is very easy and convenient. However, it is advised that you carry light woolen clothes as after sunsets the temperature may drop drastically.
The beauty of this region is manifested in the winter months. During this time, the whole region is covered under 4-5 feet deep snow. The snowfields of Chopta are a must watch as they resemble the beauty of Switzerland. During this period, visitors are advised to carry heavy woolen clothes so as to avoid catching cold or getting sick.
