The nearest railway station is again at Kathgodam, approximately 23 kilometres from Bhimtal. Kathgodam is well connected to Indian cities such as Delhi, Dehradun Kolkata and Lucknow, making Bhimtal connected too. After landing in Kathgodam, one can hire private taxis and buses that ply between the two places on a regular basis.
