October and November is the prime season if you want to see polar bear as they start moving to hunt for seal from their summer habitat on the Hudson Bay. This is also the best time to go for dog sledding and to see the northern lights. This is also the prime season for the tourist to flock in. So always book 6 months prior to the visit for availability.
The summer season is famous for the people who would want to swim and go kayaking with the belugas of the Hudson Bay and the Churchill River. Summer dog sledding and bird-watching is also carried on during this time of the year. Wildlife in the form of the caribou, wolves, red and arctic fox and moose can also be seen around. You should carry good quality waterproof jackets, hat and hiking boots for the ease of travel. Carrying bug repellents and sunscreen is recommended.
