Gir wildlife sanctuary has tropical monsoon climate which is characterized with extremely hot summers, torrential rainfall and considerably cool winters. The three major seasons enjoyed at Gir are summer, monsoon and winter. Winter is the best season for visiting Gir National Park as the pleasant and amicable weather when the chance of spotting the wild animals increases .Month wise, the best time to pay a visit to Gir is from mid-October to mid-June.
