While planning a trip to Cape Verde one must ensure buffer time as flights often get delayed or cancelled as result of weather conditions.Availing the ferry services would be a cheaper option though it does take longer than flights.

Metered taxis run in all major cities and rural destination have open back pickup trucks with bench seats or 15 passenger Toyota vans, commonly called Aluguers, linking them.
