By Rail
If you are already in Burma (Myanmar), you can also travel by rail to visit the Inle Lake. A train coming from Yangon, Thazi or Kalaw will bring you to Shwe Nyaung which is situated at a mere distance of 13 Km from the lake. It is also the main touristy town in the area and it is easy to locate accommodations here for your stay.
