How to Reach negombo

To get to Negombo you can take a flight to the Katunayake airport (CMB) which is closer to this city than to Colombo the capital of Sri Lanka. If you want to be picked by the hotel you booked then it might be a little more costly than taking a taxi or a shuttle. Most hotels charge around 1500 LKR to 2500 LKR for pick up from the airport. Another airport close to Negombo is the Bandaranaike International Airport, which is about 5-6 km away from Negombo. Its economy mainly thrives on tourism and its fishing industry which is centuries old. Other significant trades in this city are the historical cinnamon trade, brass ware industry and ceramic works.
