How to Reach syria

Travel Options

By Train

Every Thursday, the train from Haydarpasa railway station, on the Asian side of Istanbul (Turkey), leaves for Aleppo. There is also a train that connects Amman (Jordan) to Damascus every Thursday.

By Road

The road network in between Syria and its neighbouring countries is extremely good. You may drive your car or board the bus. But you must ensure that you carry an international driving permit and other necessary documents. There are buses from Istanbul to Aleppo. Once you reach Damascus, you will further go to Amman and Medina. The shared taxi or ‘Dolmus’ between Turkey and Syria is also quite popular.

By Sea

There are weekly ferries which operate between Lattakia and Alexandria of Greece.

By Air

The two international airports of Syria are located at Damascus and Aleppo and are well connected by daily flights to Europe, Asia, African and Middle Eastern countries. Buses and taxis ply regularly between the airports and the city.
