This period encompases the summer and monsoon and is a favourable time to visit. Yamunotri sees a number of visitors both pilgrims and travellers alike, during the time between Akshya Tritiya and Yama Tritiya i.e. between the months of May and October. This is majorly because all the temples allow public entry starting Akshaya Tritiya. The region is mostly closed during the winter months from December to February due to heavy snow fall and harsh weather conditions.
This is the winter period and is not very good time to visit.
