The Mount Cook National Park is the keystone or landmark place of interest of Southern Alpine region. The national park encompasses 23 mountain peaks,which have an average rise of 3000 meters and above.  Highly preferable to the mountaineers is this region of New Zealand.  The Tasman Glacier is one of the most important attractions in the national park where tourists come for cruises and kayaking or enjoy its aerial view from ski planes and helicopters.
