The official residence of the governor of Uttarakhand, Raj Bhawan is another prominent building 4 kilometres from Tallital.  The Mall’ is a prominent shopping place in Mussoorie known for its British Architecture and an ideal place to by metal ware, fabrics, wooden and cane products etc. Ashtey Hall Shopping Complex on Rajpura Road in Dehradun is an interesting place to buy wood craft items and bamboo artefacts made by local artisans. 


Landour Bazaar and Char Dukaan in Mussoorie have shops selling ceramic crockery, woollens and antiques. Bhotia market near Naini Lake in Nainital is a cluster of shops selling copied footwear, clothes and Tibetan artefacts.
