Salzburg is declared by UNESCO as the World Heritage Site for its historical landmarks, architecture, beautiful churches. Many people visit Salzburg for its historic culture while others visit it for adventurous activities like Bungee jumping and skiing on the Alpine mountains.

Salzburg was the set up for the English play, “The Sound of Music”. One can enjoy the four hours long the sound of music tour by reliving the scenes of the movie. The tour takes the tourists to the beautiful locations where the shooting was done. One can view the beautiful set of the wedding at Mondsee cathedral. This tour will cover most of the beautiful locations of the Salzburg like: Mirabell Gardens, Leopoldskron Castle, Hellbrunn Castle, Nonnberg Abbey, St. Gilgen and Lake Wolfgang. These locations covered under the Sound of Music are very enchanting,and they will bring back to you the memories of the movie. 

Do take a half day tour from Salzburg to Eagle’s Nest- it is a beautiful journey over the Alpine peaks by crossing Hellbrum Castle and Konigsee River Castle. The beauty from the top of the peak will take your breath away! Eagle’s Nest was built for Hilter’s birthday, and you can take a step into the elevator that was made from brass which was used to transport Hitler’s guest to the Eagle’s nest.
