Bibiqa Maqbara

Constructed in memory of his mother RabiaulDaurani, aka DilrasBanu Begum this mausoleum was constructed by Prince Azam Shah between the years 1651 and 1661. An intriguing fact about this monument is that the marble used to construct it was imported from Jaipur via oxen and horses. The Maqbara has almost the same features as the TajMahal, which is why it was rightly named as the Taj of the Deccan. However the TajMahal lies more superior to this establishment because of the use of more expensive materials.
